    Hi Andy. Just found your chan and subbed. If you have time, may I briefly pick your brain? My setup is a very similar scaled down version of yours, still being tweaked... Do you disable sw instruments to save cpu when they are not in use or do you keep everything live? Also, something I am messing with here is rather than directly start/stop/overdub loops triggering clips of automated stops/starts/overdubs/multiplys/divides/whatever on each channel is interesting. Kind of 'semi hands free' and triggering pre-automated clips for FX is cool too. Have you tried this?

      I don’t disable anything no. And everything I do is hands free. Watch my other videos about looping with Live, each has different info. 🍻

    Questions: Did what are your neck specs? did you get the thinner neck profile on a 1 pc maple neck w/ tung oil finish? That was my neck spec on my evertune equipped aries and the neck moved all over the place. SENSITIVE is a great description of it's stability. I sold it because I couldn't keep it set up as well as my ESP LTD evertune equipped guitar. $1000 less and made in Korea and my ESP ltd was more reliable. Was disheartening. I've been kiesel less for a couple years now but I'm finding myself deciding between a Strandberg essential or a headless Kiesel and I have PTSD over that Aries. Probably getting a 3 pc neck. I'm not trying to be rude, but it sounds like the honeymoon phase is still going. You're having tuning issues and the it's overly sensitive to conditions..... If your tuning doesn't hold in different positions and it's not in tune better and longer than your budget guitars, something is off.

    • @alwaysandy_
      @alwaysandy_ 13 днів тому

      Mine holds tuning fine as long as the humidity doesn’t change greatly. One piece maple thinner.

    • @SixString_J5
      @SixString_J5 12 днів тому

      @@alwaysandy_ Cool, this tells me everything I need to know. I'm definitely getting a 3pc neck if i'm going thinner neck profile which is my preference. I'm anal about stability and the first 2 kiesels were tanks that didn't care about humidity or tuning in playing positin vs on my bench. The Aries with a thinner 1pc maple neck was impossible to keep set up how I like. Cheers

    You obviously know a lot about amps and are a great player. One thing you may not know is that over 70% of all sound you hear is reverberated off the walls floor and ceiling. Any speaker on the floor will have more base as the base reflects more efficiently off the floor. Also as its an open back amp, if you place it about 2 feet from the rear wall you wall also get a significant base boost. Keep on rocking 🙂

    Hey Andy, I recently launched a masterclass on music business, specifically on how to virtually sell music online in creative ways. It focuses on how to build direct, recurring sales as well as getting your listeners to invest in you as an artist.. It’s free because I’m a youtuber and love to educate and help artists to go full time in the music industry, and there’s also an offer at the end to learn with me on a close basis and get the entire system plus some bonuses for a couple hundred bucks. I think you’ll love the value in the free class. Would you mind if I send it over?

    You can use Max for Live in Ableton to control the lights rather than EMU. I have EMU too, but have switched to using M4L. I haven’t tried this, but you can develop your own VSTs using RNBO in Max. There is one time cost involved, however.

    On one hand, this review is from a guy who doesn't like Marshall's, but bought one and doesn't like it. On another hand, this particular amp just does not sound very good at all. Seems a lot of people had to go through a series of them to get a good one. It was also fair to say all of our guitar legends' Marshalls were modded. Even though this seems like an amp that is like a gateway to learning tube amps, it should be better than this. As much as I would like to buy the MESA (or Friedman, or anyone else) equivalent, we go from $750 to over $2k. I've yet to own a tube amp and I really want to try one. If I do buy this amp, it will only be after playing it in the store first and still wanting to buy it after.

      Something’s wrong with this one I’d say. I rewatched my original videos from couple years ago and it sounded fine, which is why I bought it. Kinda weak that it’s gone bad just sitting unplayed. Seems to be a big problem with this amp. I returned it twice before this one. 🤷🏼‍♂️

      @@alwaysandy_ I ended up trading in a bunch of old gear I didn't want and grabbed one of these. I played a few in the store and took home the one I liked most. So far so good, but I had this series of video's in mind when trying them out. It really sucks that yours isn't up to par, but I do appreciate you showing us this issue. Very weak indeed. I was looking at the Blackstar MKIII 40 Combo equivalent as well, but that amp is $1100 and I was able to get the Marshall for $660 with sales, promotions, etc. It made the choice a lot easier.

    Hi, how would you use NS2 suppressor with this same setup? Thanks

      I’d put it in the front spot in front of my compressor. That’s a bit of an “always on” pedal.

    Mine sounds amazing. Maybe you got a bad one. I buy through sweetwater so i get the 2 year warranty. I also have it hooked up to a HK112 extension cab.

    those pick ups sounded great here, but each to their own, i'm thinking of purchasing this, played it yesterday but of course now they cost $249 , and if like you i decide i want different pups it goes from being a $250 guitar to a $450-$550 guitar..still man i was really impressed by how well it played (i didnt plug it in as i was short on time) but no fretsprout, played like a dream and a fine looking piece of kit at that , i'd even say it felt as nice as my RG550 Genesis .....damn i know the GAS is going to win in the end

    The joyo pedal is adding a lot to that noise floor

      More like boosting. I’ve used this pedal for years it’s not that noisy.

    @andy Harper. Does your amp make a pop sound when switching channels?

  • @CeciShaw

    They had two at band rehearsal. I just set one of the channels to edge of break up and used a Boss Super OD pedal. not bad, not good, just did the job. with the whole band added it sounded fine.
